Simone’s Violin

After more than ten years, Simone has found the right violin to replace the wonderful sounding one that unfortunately caused her some RSI, taking more than two years out of her playing time.

This beautiful ‘new’ old violin was picked out for the previous owner by her teacher, Yehudi Menuhin. Made in Cremona around 1730, Mozart also played a violin by Pietro Dalla Costa.  It lived for years in Switzerland and ended up in Holland.

It has required quite some investment, with loans from friends and family. Simone is fundraising  for the new instrument through concerts and other activities..

If you wish to  help a little or a lot: all funds are gratefully accepted.
